For O Boticário’s Make B Wishlist film, produced by Paranoid for AlmapBBDO, the production was designed around a smart and efficient studio approach. The film was shot inside a clean white studio box, using controlled staging, performance, camera movement and product choreography to keep the production agile without losing the premium beauty language of the brand.

Within that setup, one production challenge appeared: the need for a modern water fountain in the scene.

A practical fountain would have complicated the production logic. It would have introduced water, rigging, plumbing, reflections, and additional time into a shoot built around efficiency and control. It was exactly the kind of prop that could break the intelligence of the production design.

ODD was brought in to create the fountain as an AI and post production element, integrating it seamlessly into the original footage. The work required matching the white studio environment, the lighting direction, the camera perspective, the lens distortion and the slow motion behaviour of the water so the added element felt like it had been captured in camera.

The result was a precise hybrid production solution: a complex physical prop added after the shoot with full control over shape, scale, water movement and integration. AI allowed the production to preserve the efficiency of the original studio plan while still delivering the visual idea the film needed.

For O Boticário’s Nativa SPA Ameixa Intensa campaign, produced by Paranoid for AlmapBBDO, the film was built as a hybrid production combining live action beauty work with AI generated product sensorial sequences.

The main film was shot in studio with model, product and real plums, establishing the visual language through the lens of acclaimed beauty director and cinematographer Paulo Vainer. The challenge for the AI work was to extend that same aesthetic into shots that would normally require an additional specialist shoot day: high speed cameras, complex macro lighting, product liquids, fruit behaviour and tightly controlled packshot movement.

ODD was brought in to create the AI sequences for the film’s more sensorial and technically demanding moments. These included the intense plum macro worlds, liquid and texture shots, the impossible packshot with falling plums synchronized to a light pass and the final plum explosion.

The work needed to feel fully connected to the live action film. Every AI shot had to match the established beauty language: rich red and amber tones, glossy product textures, sensual lighting, high contrast reflections, slow motion detail and the premium cosmetic feel of the campaign.

The result was a hybrid production approach where live action carried the performance and tactile product world while AI expanded the film into impossible beauty details. The campaign kept the craft and photographic sophistication of the original shoot while gaining extra control, flexibility and visual ambition in post.

Film / AI Production / Post Production Support

For a Cruzeiro do Sul University campaign produced by Boiler Filmes for AlmapBBDO, a new creative need appeared after the live action shoot: the film needed to finish in a different location.

The original scene had been shot with the talent studying from home. The new idea was to transition that same person into an actual workplace, connecting study, professional ambition and real life career progression in one continuous visual move.

AlmapBBDO developed the new workplace imagery and ODD was brought in by Boiler Films to finesse those frames and create the transition between environments. The challenge was specific: the talent had to remain consistent while the world around them changed. Their action, body position and performance needed to continue naturally as the home study setting transformed into a professional work environment.

The work focused on continuity, precision and restraint. ODD worked on refining the AI generated workplace frames, matching them to the shot material and creating a fluid environmental change that connected both moments. The result allowed the film to expand beyond the original shoot and deliver a more complete narrative resolution without returning to set.

Using AI in this context created a practical and efficient post production solution. It gave the agency and production company a way to adapt the film after the shoot, add a new location and create a more ambitious final transition while keeping the talent’s performance at the centre of the scene.

For the launch film bringing back Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle, Megan Thee Stallion and Nickelback collide in a deliberately absurd, high energy music video.

Created by GUT Miami and directed by Dave Meyers through RadicalMedia, the film leans fully into the chaos, moving from celebrity performance into a full blown snack heist with truck chases, surreal scale and Cheetos dust explosions. The campaign was produced for Cheetos with VFX by Autonomy.

Arthur Machado was brought in by Autonomy as an AI Artist, working with VFX Supervisor Jiri Kilevnik after previous collaborations together. The task was focused and specific: producing AI style frames for the truck action sequence as part of Autonomy’s VFX pipeline, working from the established visual direction and translating the material into images that could support the VFX process.

This was a small and specific contribution within a much larger production and post production effort. Arthur’s role was to support Autonomy’s VFX team with AI generated style frames for one sequence within the film. The final spot belongs to the many teams who shaped it from idea to execution.

Ruthless Podcast /Lair NYC https://odd.global/portfolio-item/ruthless-podcast-lair-nyc/ Tue, 03 Mar 2026 09:26:49 +0000 https://odd.global/?post_type=portfolio-item&p=3116

Lair NYC brought Odd Global on board to design and produce the background environments for a promotional film for Ruthless Podcast, shot entirely in studio against chroma key.

The brief was to create a series of cinematic background plates that could support the world of the spot while giving the production team a clear visual target before cameras rolled. Working alongside director Thor Raxlen and Executive Producer Mark Aji from job approval, we developed the environments according to the approved storyboards and delivered initial background plates ahead of the shoot.

This allowed each camera position, lighting setup and chroma key scenario to be planned with the final composition already in mind.

The Approach

Rather than treating the AI backgrounds as a post-production add-on, we designed them as part of the production process from the beginning. Each plate was built to serve the specific framing, perspective and lighting direction required for the scene, giving the studio shoot a stronger foundation and helping the live action integrate more naturally into the final world.

Execution

After the shoot, we revisited every background plate and adjusted them to match the captured camera movement, lens choice and composition. Plates were refined, fine-tuning perspective, scale, lighting and visual continuity so the environments sat convincingly behind the talent.

The result was a chroma key production where AI-generated environments became an active part of the filmmaking process, supporting both the shoot and the final composite with precision from pre-production through delivery.

FoxNews USA 26′ Midterm Elections /Lair NYC https://odd.global/portfolio-item/fox-news-usa-26-midterm-elections-lair/ Tue, 16 Dec 2025 10:25:37 +0000 https://odd.global/?post_type=portfolio-item&p=3108 Working alongside Lair NYC, we developed AI-driven transitions background plates for the Fox News 2026 Midterm Elections coverage promotional video.

One key moment in the spot follows two American voters standing together in front of the Capitol building. Through a seamless AI-generated move, the camera carries them through the Capitol doors and inside the building, arriving at a wide reveal of the House Chamber.

A second sequence presented a different challenge. The Fox News anchors were shot in the studio against chroma key, with a crane executing a combined dolly-in and pedestal-up move that pushes through the group. We generated an AI background plate, a golden-hour wide shot of the Lincoln Memorial and its Reflecting Pool with a gathered crowd, then animated it to precisely match the perspective shift and momentum of the

studio crane move.

The compositing included full feet-to-ground contact, ensuring each presenter sits convincingly on the plaza surface throughout the motion, with the real and AI camera timing locked frame for frame, fully executed by us at Odd Global together with our specialised collaborators.

VIVO ENTERTAINMENT /MAAR https://odd.global/portfolio-item/vivo-entertainment-maar/ Sat, 01 Nov 2025 10:18:58 +0000 https://odd.global/?post_type=portfolio-item&p=3098

MAAR, the São Paulo-based branding and design AI agency, came to Odd Global with a tight brief: a 15-second film for Vivo, Brazil’s leading telco with over 103 million mobile subscribers, had been produced in-house for the Vivo Entertainment product. By the time it was ready to air, AI image generation had moved fast enough that the original visuals no longer matched what the technology could deliver. With no time to go back to production, they needed the visuals upgraded to current standards, quickly.

The Challenge

The existing cut was locked. The brief wasn’t to redo the film but to replace its product imagery with versions that felt current, photorealistic, and premium. Entertainment devices, a gaming laptop and headphones, needed to hold up to broadcast scrutiny and match the colour world of the existing edit.

What We Did

We approached it at the image level first. For each take, we generated new stills that matched the framing, lighting direction, and mood of the originals precisely, while pushing material quality to where AI generation now sits: crisp surface textures, accurate reflections, and the kind of photorealism that earlier models couldn’t deliver.

With the new stills approved, we applied motion using current AI animation models and cut a new edit for Vivo Entertainment. The full update was delivered in record time, replacing an obsolete look with a high quality result that matched the pace and quality bar of the final broadcast.

Nativa SPA Orquídea Lumière / O Boticário

Production Company LOVE Pictures Company brought Odd.Global on board to design and produce two animated product shots for the launch

campaign of O Boticário’s Nativa SPA Orquídea Lumière, directed by Ariela Dorf. The brief was open: concept both a glamour shot and a pack shot from scratch, within the world of the film.

The Brief

LOVE Pictures came to us with full creative freedom to propose visual directions for both shots. The only parameters were the product and the campaign’s world: orchids, warmth, mystery, luminosity.

Exploration

We ran a focused exploration, presenting multiple options within the same visual territory. Both shots moved quickly through review, each with a single concept approved instantly by director, agency, and client.

Execution

With concepts locked, we turned to careful image retouching to achieve maximum product accuracy: label text, bottle form, product texture and reflective qualities.

Motion was then added to both shots. The pack shot features orchids blooming in the background, a result that would have been impractical to achieve in live action and out of scope for a 3D pipe

line. The glamour shot brings the products rotating on a bed of backlit orchids, with light and shadow working through each product.

Don’t Just Take Their Word For It /Strategy Creative https://odd.global/portfolio-item/dont-take-their-word-for-it-strategy-creative/ https://odd.global/portfolio-item/dont-take-their-word-for-it-strategy-creative/#respond Thu, 02 Oct 2025 03:39:15 +0000 https://odd.global/?post_type=portfolio-item&p=3038

When Strategy Creative reached out with a campaign for PGDB, the goal was clear. They wanted to get the public thinking twice before hiring someone just because they say they’re a plumber, gasfitter or drainlayer.

So we helped bring that message to life with a series of everyday scenarios where things have gone very obviously, very wrong.

The Idea

Each visual shows a job that looks legit at first glance, but on closer inspection is a total disaster. A wall light leaking water above a bed. A toilet dropped right in the middle of a kitchen. A living room full of gas smoke.

It all ties back to the same message: “Don’t just take their word for it.” Because when it comes to trades like plumbing and gasfitting, a mistake isn’t just inconvenient, it can be dangerous.

Our Role

We worked with Strategy Creative to develop and produce the visuals across digital billboards, bus backs and online placements. The aim was to create something that felt believable at first, then twisted just enough to make people stop and look twice.

Every scene was carefully designed to sit naturally in the city environment while delivering that moment of “hang on, what?” as people passed by.

The Result

The campaign rolled out across major cities in Aotearoa and PGDB’s online channels, sparking plenty of double takes. The message landed clearly: check for a licence before you hire.

It’s a reminder that a strong creative idea can travel fast when the visuals are sharp, simple and a little bit cheeky.

(Seamless hair transition from 3D demo to live action shot with A.I.)

Project Snapshot

In three regional cuts, a single strand of 3D-rendered hair blossoms into live-action locks, delivering an “impossible” macro-to-model reveal for Sunsilk / Elidor’s global push.

Challenge

Droga5 São Paulo and VFX studio Voodoo House needed a way to link a conventional CG product demo with a photoreal transition that would hold up across varied hair types and markets, all under a compressed post schedule and budget.

AI-Driven Solution

We began by re-texturing the hero 3D strand adding fresh cuticle detail, natural sheen, and subtle colour variation to read as perfectly healthy hair at macro scale. From that point, the camera “pulls” outward in a single fluid move: the digitally perfected strand seamlessly expands into the original live-action wide shot. The same pipeline was tailored to three hair types and model plates, ensuring culturally specific beauty cues for an international campaign.

Outcome

All three master films exceeded creative expectations and were delivered on schedule and under budget, enabling Sunsilk to launch simultaneously across territories with no additional shoot days required.
